The social, comedic model bible has arrived. Two anonymous models who go by H and S have creatively curated the Instagram page Sh#t Model Mgmt. The account comedically showcases what the reality of the upmost desirable modelling industry is really like. From the crowded living conditions to the unrealistic expectations of receiving a model’s wages, the anonymous duo strategically upload memes that address the many issues of modelling that effect models most.

The bio reads “We all want to quit. Two models exposing the truth”. If you're a model or are a part of the modelling industry then these memes will certainly mean a lot more to you. Despite what the media and social media compose about the modelling being tone of the most glamorous professions we are all aware that being a model is hard work and as a models role is always being enhanced alongside the fashion industry it is only getting harder. With the new focus of the modelling industry turning to the impact of social media Sh#t Model MGMT challenge the unrealistic, narrow opinions of the industry on one of the biggest platforms of the minute Instagram. 

The current social media following of the page stands at 35.5k followers and has only bee running for a number of weeks. After the first week of the page running, it made a sudden disappearance, however, the page returned quickly and has since been reaching a mass following. 

In a recent interview via email, the duo spoke to Fashionista.com, member of the duo H expressed "It's hard for models to speak up about the uncomfortable parts of the job because we don't want to disappoint our agents, and because we are so disposable to clients ... This account is a place where models can laugh about the absurd parts of the industry, and it also shows agents and clients how we really feel.”

With the internet allowing an extension of anonymity if you choose, this duo have been able to address the issues that models face without having the direct backlash for having a voice about these issues that the industry sometimes face. By showcasing the page on one of the most recognised social platforms of the minute, the highlight of these issues reaches a vast target audience from people within the industry, clients and fans of the industry. In a way it targets the new faces and spiring models who do not understand what the industry is really like, there is no one to explain the raw facts about what they might experience. 

The memes also let models know that they are not alone, more often than most models don't feel like they can turn to the like of their bookers and agencies to address certain experiences and more often than most family members do not understand what the experiences are really like.
